The ultimate goal of the Great Apes program is to achieve conservation and respect for the great apes. This is accomplished by ensuring that viable populations of great apes are protected from extinction and living in habitats that are managed sustainably and integrated with economic development objectives; and that there is international commitment to effectively support the captive care of great apes in sanctuaries and not tolerate their use in entertainment or invasive medical research.
Great Apes Survival Project
GRASP is a United Nations initiative committed to ensuring the long-term survival of chimpanzees, gorillas, bonobos, and orangutans and their habitats in Africa and Asia.
Orang - Utan Land Trust

At Orang-utan Land Trust Our mission is to enable sustainable solutions that ensure safe areas of forest for the continued survival of the orang-utan. We encourage policy makers to develop and implement strong policies and to uphold existing laws that contribute to orangutan conservation. we also support in-country initiatives and efforts to help deliver their aims and develop approriate and responsible partnerships to deliver tangible outcomes on the ground
Kinabatangan Orang-utan Conservation Project
Hutan is a French Non-Governmental Organisation established on the 15th of January 1996 in France by Dr. Isabelle Lackman, a primatologist with Dr. Marc Ancrenaz, a wildlife veterinarian. Our French NGO registration number is: N 1/09696. The primary aim of HUTAN is to study orang-utans in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo.
L.E.A.P ( Land, Empowerment, People and Animals)
Leap is flexible and responsive in accommodating the unique development of each of its partnerships and projects. A basic set of principles guides this process. It’s vision is to engage all communities and empower each other to move from reactive conservation towards proactive stewardship.

The HoB Initiative is a unique government-led and NGO-supported programme that was initiated by a joint Declaration by the governments of Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia in 2007. The aim of the programme is to conserve the biodiversity of the Heart of Borneo for the benefit of the people who rely upon it through a network of protected areas, sustainable management of forests and other sustainable land uses.
