Coined by BorneoFutures, dewildication is the equivalent to deforestation – the removal of wild animals and plants from nature. 


Environmental degradation (e.g. through deforestation and erosion), climate change that leads to sea level rise and extreme weather events, and poor infrastructure.


Deforestation is clearing Earth's forests on a massive scale, often resulting in damage to the quality of the land. 

Dedicated to changing and improving the well being of all living things in Borneo by sharing accurate information and raising awareness of the need to preserve it's unique and natural environment for future generations.


This means that Borneo's landscapes need to be sustainably managed to deliver social and ecological justice through improved understanding of the linkages between ecological systems and human well being. 2014
